The Zeal for Summit’s Z-Rolls Ice Cream
Where is the flair in ice cream? Where is the pizzazz? If you’re like me and feel the urge to ridicule an inanimate food based on its appearance, ridicule no more. Ice cream is no longer boring. How did I make this discovery? By walking into Z-Rolls in Summit NJ, at 452 Springfield Avenue. This workspace makes a very special type of ice cream - one rolled into ribbon-like shapes! The concoction is made by mixing any add-ins (such as Oreo pieces) into the base, chopping and spreading the mix onto a cold metal slate, and finally rolling the ice cream into individual pieces. Delicious and definitely fun!
The Co-Co: A Community and A Movement
In a world turned upside-down by a series of unexpected events, the business and working world has changed. After the past two years, many workers find themselves feeling as though their work and home lives have combined – but it doesn’t have to stay that way. A relatively modern concept, co-working spaces offer a ‘no strings attached’ approach to the work day. Summit, NJ’s The Co-Co is an exceptional co-working space – providing a light-filled, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed open workspace, as well as a strong and diverse community.

It’s a complete myth that you can only plant in spring. Why I Love Long Drives
When you think about peace, what comes to mind? Is it relaxing in front of the ocean on a sunny beach day, the gentle crashing of the waves on the shore slowing pushing you toward sleep? Is it settling in on a super comfy couch with a warm tea in your hand while you catch up on your favorite novel? Whatever your favorite idyllic scene looks like, everyone has something that they can always count on to wind them down after a long day. For me, that’s going on a long drive.
A Quiet Place 2 | Film Review
I highly recommend A Quiet Place Part II, even to those who don’t usually enjoy horror movies. It’s just as brilliantly written, directed, and filmed as its predecessor, and will leave you terrified, out of breath, and contemplative about your own humanity and priorities.
Dairy-Free Zita’s Ice Cream Review
When I think of summer, I think of swimming in the ocean, long walks on the beach, and ice cream. Ice cream is my absolute favorite summer treat. However, I have a slight problem: I'm allergic to dairy and nuts! That means I'm constantly on the hunt to find the best non-dairy ice cream out there, and after years of vigorous searches, I've finally found it: Zita's Homemade Ice Cream at 1790 Springfield Ave, New Providence, New Jersey. So, I'd like to highlight two delicious flavors that I've absolutely fallen in love with: Blood Orange Sorbet and Vanilla Oat Milk.
Liberty Bistro | Restaurant Review
Looking out at glittering water, Édith Piaf’s Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien playing softly in the background as I sip on a sparkling glass of lemonade – no, I’m not in France. I’m at the Liberty Bistro in the Financial District of New York City.
Liberty Bistro is a fairly new and beautiful brasserie stationed next to Battery Park, overlooking the Hudson River. The servers are warm and welcoming and the authentic French cuisine is spectacular. It was a delight to dine there, and I believe the experience is definitely worth the money.
They Both Die at the End | Book Review
They Both Die at the End is a young adult fiction/romance novel where Death-Cast, a service that can predict the day on which a person is going to die and notifies those who will die that day. The novel follows teenagers Mateo and Rufus who both receive their Death-Cast calls on the same day; they then meet up using an app called Last Friend which allows deckers to connect with other deckers who are destined to die that day. Mateo and Rufus spend their “last day” together having the adventure of a lifetime, connecting to each other on a deeper level than anyone could have imagined; all while the inevitability of their deaths festers in their minds as the hours slip away.
Luca | Film Review
Luca’s vibrant animation, touching story, and all-around amazing production make Luca one of Pixar’s most charming movies to date and I could not recommend it enough. Just be warned: you may have an insatiable need for sunny skies, gelato, and fresh pasta by the end of your viewing.

“Doodle Diary” Trend Review
The Doodle Diary Trend: you sketch, draw, or color one page a day in a notebook or sketchbook. The doodles can be extremely simple, like stick figures, or can be complex works of art.
Some people use them to try and improve their drawing skills, others to record their daily experiences, and others to cope with the stressors of everyday life.
Now it’s the beginning of summer, and I’m reviewing my experience with this trend. Did it have the intended effects, was it practical, and would others enjoy it?
