The Co-Co: A Community and A Movement

In a world turned upside-down by a series of unexpected events (I’m sure you can guess what I’m referring to), the working world has changed in ways we could never have before imagined. This, in addition to the effects of an ever-expanding digital world, has led to a total rework of… work.

Almost every organization has had to throw the once-standard model of business procedure out the window. From handshakes and birthday parties to a corporation’s tried-and-true policies for handling employees, nothing remains the same – the traditional “office” space is growing obsolete after two years of at-home work and dining-room-conference-calls.

In light of those two years, however, many workers (including myself) find themselves tired of working from home. It has created a total disconnect, destroying the sacred separation between ‘work life’ and ‘home life’ – but it doesn’t have to stay this way. This is where the co-working space comes into play. A relatively modern concept, co-working spaces offer a ‘no strings attached’ approach to the work day. You make your own hours, choose your desk on a day-to-day basis, and in some cases have direct access to your city or town. All in all, the standard co-working space is an amazing way to revolutionize your working self.

But The Co-Co is much more than the standard co-working space; they are as much focused on education and community as they are on only providing a work space.  The Co-Co sponsored events allow one the opportunity to network for the betterment of their business and self – crucial, as the true way to ‘revolutionize your working self’ is to form strong bonds to a diverse community of people from different businesses and in varying stages of life. The Co-Co provides a light-filled, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed open workspace, allowing you to work in a beautiful setting without worrying about pandemic safety.

Personally, the co-learning aspect is what takes the cake for me. From cohorts to panel discussions, The Co-Co offers a variety of events to explore new topics, ranging from business to family, wellness, and creativity! They offer both in-person and live events, helping transition you from at-home to office work, and their lessons taught by an assortment of speakers offer different perspectives and valuable advice on adapting to a post-pandemic world of business and expansion.

The Co-Co currently offers the perfect insider-taste for one of their exclusive events, for free. Their Coach Cohort offers a series of events where attendees can support and inspire one another, as well as ideas, best practices, emerging trends, tools and tips.

One of their previous events,  “The Co-Co’s Coach Cohort on Positive Intelligence,”  is currently available to all, even those without a membership. You can access it using this link and watch a recap video. Their website provides additional information and navigation into the world of The Co-Co, including  membership options and their “Colearning”, “Coworking”, and “Community” pages.  Take a digital tour of the working space here

Even if you aren’t a member, their blog and weekly newsletter offer interesting and useful information on today’s business professionals and key individuals in our community. Consider it a “taste” of what The Co-Co has to offer.

The Co-Co is a space and community dedicated to supporting and inspiring people in all stages of life and career. They are playing a role in the new world of business, and could be the next step in your professional life. Check out their website or social media @thecoconj for more.
