Spending a “Picture-Perfect” Day in Morristown, NJ

Morristown, NJ is one of my favorite towns to explore! There are so many amazing restaurants and activities – it’s an adorable town steeped in history. Fun fact: it’s actually referred to as the “military capital of the American Revolution” because of how integral it was in the Revolutionary War. I’m lucky to live only a quick 15-min drive away, so my family and friends and I always find ourselves there one way or another. I thought it would be fun to piece together my “perfect” day in Morristown for those of you who are looking for a day trip and a new place to perhaps call home in New Jersey. Let me know if you try out this itinerary - and also comment below your Mo’town hot-spots!

  • 11:00am - Unleash your creativity + inner child!

    • Glassworks Studio - learn how to make mosaic art by breaking your own colored glass and creations!

    • The Game Vault - step back into time and into an old-fashioned arcade! They have all of the classic and oldies…aka, no Fortnite here lol

    • Trap Door Escape Room - put your problem solving skills to the test with their extra-unique supernatural themed escape rooms. not for the faint of heart, but oh-so-fun.

    • Alternatively - if you’re riding solo - hop in for a day pass to En Masse Co-working and enjoy a new work scene to catch up on whatever passion project you are working on :)

  • 2:00pm - In an artsy mood?

    • The Morris Museum is a must-see. It’s actually a Smithsonian Museum Affiliate - and always has amazing exhibits from modern art to the classics.

    • Or if you’re also like me and just like to lounge around and watch a movie, rent out an entire theatre at AMC Headquarters - right in downtown Morristown. The theatres are small, and have the most comfortable recliner chairs! Catch a new movie, or a classic fan favorite.

  • 4:00pm - Before dinner, work up your appetite with shopping! There are an abundance of great little shops to stop into - my favs are:

  • 6:00pm - Dinner time! Yes - a lot of food to pack into one day, but really Mo’town is a foodie’s dream!

    • For a more upscale farm-to-table, try South & Pine (get the chicken and waffles, trust me)

    • For the best local sushi, try Sushi Lounge (order the lychee martini… cue the drool)

  • 8:00pm - Head to the Laundromat… Yes, it is a laundromat, but no it isn’t just your average one ;) You must be 23+ to get into this special speakeasy!
