Sips by Tea Subscription

My tea addiction has been insatiable my whole life – whether it’s been or iced, sweetened or not. So much so that I have a tea kettle in my bedroom, so a good cup of tea is no more than a few feet away.

This being said, I have met my fair share of distasteful teas, from black licorice (yuck) to lemongrass (yuck, once more). So, when I heard about Sipsby.com through a friend, who had gifted me a subscription (thanks Stephanie!), I waited enthusiastically for my package to arrive.

My appreciation for the system started quickly, as soon as it had been explained to me: You fill out the quick quiz of your personal tea preferences, and a box of teas (unique to your preferences) is delivered to your home once a month.

My love for the service grew even more once my March box arrived in mail last week . . . and it remained unopened under a pile of mail for a few days. But I eventually saw it and fell in love!

As they say, great things come in small packages. Upon opening their iconic box, I was met with a card (with my name on it), detailing the teas included. In addition to the tea, they offered a reusable tea bag filled with several single-use bags. It was adorable!

I received moroccan mint, piquant peach, golden yunnan black, and white rose teas. I fell in love with every single one of them! Because Sipsby sources their tea from natural, amazing brands, the quali-tea is astounding (See what I did there?).

The moroccan mint was a delight, because it was the perfect level of sweetness and not overpowering in mintiness. The white rose was also incredibly pleasing, and by far the best rose tea I’ve ever had. Both teas had a beautiful hue and color to them, as well as a delicious fragrance that made the experience even more enjoyable.

I decided to have a bit more fun with the yunnan black and piquant peach, however. Below, you’ll find the recipes for two tea lattes – A brown-sugar black tea latte and a little number I call The Peachy Sunset (my own creation).

The brown sugar tea latte was almost too easy to make, and the flavors were impeccable. Even non-black tea drinkers who tried it were instantly obsessed! It’s also the perfect drink for boba / tapioca pearls, and would be amazing year-round.

The next drink, ‘The Peachy Sunset’, I came up with myself. Despite my lack of expertise in the drink-making world, it was a tremendous crowdpleaser. The drink is glorious for the summer months, and the flavors of the apple and raspberry are light enough to make way for that of the tea. It had the perfect amount of sweetness, and was so easy to make while also impressing my tasters.

Overall, my experience with Sipsby has been super enjoyable, and I am definitely going to continue my subscription with them, and even purchase refills of what I received! Yes, it was that good.

I would definitely recommend checking them out on Instagram, @sipsby and their website!
