The Best Places to Buy Hot Chocolate in Summit
Though the holiday season comes to an end, we still have a long winter ahead of us. However, there is truly no better way to get through the cold than to embrace it by enjoying a classic seasonal treat. It’s hot, it’s delicious, it’s chocolatey, you may have guessed it - hot chocolate! The Summit Reel wanted to help you out, so we figured out the top three places in town to grab a steaming cup of this tasty beverage.
The first place we visited was Marigolds, located in Mondo Summit at 426 Springfield Avenue. Not only is the hot chocolate delicious, but the cozy atmosphere of the cafe will instantly lift your spirits and make you feel at home. We also want to thank and give a huge shout out to the employees there who gave us hot chocolate on the house when we told them about our article. They were so kind, and they made our Marigolds experience a great one.
Not only does Marigolds offer hot chocolate, but many other coffees, lattes, and pastries. You can even order delicious breakfast from 7:30 to 11:00 am and lunch from 11:30 to 2:15 pm! The best part is, hot chocolate pairs greatly with either! We strongly recommend going to Marigolds to enjoy their unique, tasty food and outstanding hot chocolate.
Next, we visited Ahrre’s Coffee Roastery, located in the Wine List of Summit at 417 Springfield Avenue. Again, hot chocolate: AMAZING. We really enjoyed the rich, chocolatey flavor and whipped cream! Perfection. The interior of Ahrre’s is cool, with huge jars of coffee beans placed on the shelves, completing the raw and rustic aesthetic. This made it a great place to sit, as there are still a few socially distanced tables inside!
There are tons of other beverage options, like refreshing smoothies, delicious cold brews, and flavorful apple cider. Once again, the employee showed great interest in our article and was very kind in asking questions about it - not to mention the great hot chocolates he made for us! Ahrre’s Coffee Roastery was a wonderful experience for us, and you should definitely stop in for a nice cup of hot chocolate the second you have a chance!
Last but certainly not least, we just HAD to stop in at Boxwood Coffee. You can find Boxwood at 17 Beechwood Road. As you can probably tell by the photos, their beautiful decorations are perfect for the holiday season, so Boxwood is pretty hard to miss – in the best way! The baristas were so sweet when we told them about this article! We are so lucky to live in a town where our local businesses are run by such kind people. I’m sure you are wondering how the hot chocolate was, and once again, we were in for a treat. It was delicious, as are the pastries that they offer. Who doesn’t love a warm chocolate chip cookie or croissant to go with a hot chocolate? Sounds like chocolate heaven to me!
They have indoor and outdoor seating, and the indoor tables have been placed with enough distance between them so you don’t have to worry about catching the virus. This trendy cafe is yet another perfect hot chocolate stop that Summit has to offer. Huge shoutout to Boxwood Coffee!
